About Therapy

You know life can be better.

Are you feeling worried, depressed, or having a hard time focusing? Have you experienced a traumatic event or are struggling in your relationship?

You wish you could see the hope the day offers when you wake up in the morning. But the shrill of the alarm clock puts knots in your stomach – you’re dreading and not looking forward to any moment of the day.

It feels like that car accident that happened a year ago where you and your child nearly lost your lives should be ‘out of your system’ by now. But you can’t help the sweaty palms and muscle tension that invades your body whenever you sit behind the wheel of your new car.

Why can’t you just get over the mistake you made in yesterday’s board meeting? Your colleagues don’t understand why you’re still stuck on it. To them, “it wasn’t that bad,” “it could’ve been worse,” “no one even noticed.” But to you, it was “that bad… couldn’t have been worse… and everyone probably noticed.” Now you can’t focus on the new tasks and responsibilities you have in front of you.

These behaviors impact your daily interactions with family, friends, school life, and work.

But you don’t have to let them rule your life a moment longer.

Through therapy, you can learn to manage relationship challenges, painful memories from a traumatic experience, daily worry, stress, inattentiveness, and fears.

It’s time for lasting change.

In a safe and judgment-free space, we will introduce you to various well-researched therapeutic approaches and best practices.

Together, we’ll craft a plan suited specifically to your needs, so you can move past your challenges and get back to living your life.

Let’s work together.

We assist individuals and couples between the ages of 14-65 with histories of marginalization, discrimination, systemic racism, deep poverty, and injustice who struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues (divorce and separation), and inattention issues.

In addition, we help couples rebuild their intimacy, improve communication and overcome their relationship challenges.

We provide couples psychotherapy which helps couples of all types recognize and resolve conflicts and improve their relationships in a safe, caring, and confidential environment.

We use various evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with ADHD/ADD, Anxiety, and Depression. When working with couples, we’ll incorporate the Gottman approach and other couple-focused approaches. Our approach is strength-based and client-centered. The individual’s and couples’ voices are the centerpieces of treatment, and we are supportive “coaches” providing helpful tools and strategies along the way. We will support you in accomplishing your desired outcomes in our comfortable office or the comfort of your very own home (via teletherapy).

You’ll emerge from our process with the MOST effective tools for managing your situation.
